Beautiful Brighton – The trashing of three old survivors

Just in front of the Pavilion on the Old Steine are three beautiful listed 92 year old survivors of Brighton’s tram system, they function now as bus shelters. Their design has been termed by Historic England as ‘International Style’, however, some consider them to be Streamline Moderne.

The construction material of the shelters is concrete, with metal glazing bars. They are open roadside and glazed on the pavement side to prevent the public from feeling the cold southwesterly wind. What is not prevented are graffiti vandals from trashing the old survivors.

The graffiti vandals must be stop.

Write, email or speak to your ward Councillor today and stop the vandals from taking over your city.
