Architect Thomas Simpson remembered with blue plaque

April 23rd 2015 was spring at its best for the unveiling of the commemorative blue plaque to prolific local architect, Thomas Simpson (1825 – 1908). The celebration, at West Hove Infants’ School, Connaught Road, followed a lengthy, multi-stranded campaign by the Brighton Society to save this Simpson-designed building, which we had successfully nominated for Grade II listing six years previously.
